‘A Coast with Roots’ begins in Almeria with the training of the environmental education team, which will develop it in the province

The territorial delegate of the Environment and Spatial Planning of the Regional Government of Andalusia in Almeria, Antonio Martínez, visited El Albardinal Botanic Garden, for the environmental education team training meeting, which is in charge of developing the “A Coast with Roots” programme with different educational centres of the province, which is part of the Pleamar Project of the ALDEA Environmental Education Programme.

Almeria is highlighted in this awareness-raising initiative of the Life Conhabit Andalusia project, since it is the province that has generated the greatest response throughout the Andalusian territory, with 13 school centres registered to date, which means that more than 750 pupils could participate in this activity.

With this training, the environmental educators, who will execute the programme in the province, will acquire knowledge along with the necessary teaching material to carry out these awareness-raising actions aimed at Nursery, Primary and Secondary school children, as well as their teachers and environmental educators.
