Exchange experiences with other LIFEs in the meeting in the European meeting on restoration of dune habitats, in Zandvoort (Holland)

The Life Conhabit Andalusia project on “Conservation and improvement of priority habitats on the Andalusian coast” (LIFE13 NAT/ES/000586) participated in the Life platform meeting on the restoration of sand dune habitats held in the Dutch city of Zandvoort, on 15 and 17 June 2016. In this meeting, results from 15 European LIFE projects were presented that included actions related to the restoration of coastal and in-land dune habitats that are part of the Natura 2000 Network. The meeting served as an exchange of experiences between technical experts and managers from 13 European countries.
The Life Conhabit Andalusia project participated actively with the presentation of four specific panels which presented the preliminary results of the Life Conhabit project in dune habitats in the province of Huelva. They also participated in a specific workshop related to the management of invasive species that affect coastal and in-land dune systems. During the event, the opportunity was given to see restoration projects on coastal dunes first hand with guided excursions.
